Review of Nick J and the Admin's album

Heres my full review of Nick Jonas and the Administration's album 'Who I am'. Its a track by track run through with opinions on the music side and stuff. ENJOY! :)

Rose Garden- I love how this song tells a story and it is like a poem with instruments and beats. Its kinda soul. I like the chorus alot, Nick's voice sounds so good. I can imagine sitting in a garden full of roses with it raining. I'm totally gonna do that, then film it, then post it on youtube. My favourite line from this song would have to be "Out of a beautiful mistake". I love the phrase "beautiful mistake". It just always speaks to me in songs or whatever. I also like the phrase "the perfect accident" and its the name of one of my favourite song's "The Perfect Accident" by Jesse Labelle. Back to Nick. So, this is an amazing song that is slow but has a powerful tempo to it. This song sounds like its about Selena. She has a young Mum, her real father left and she worked at a young age.

Who I am- So this is the title-track and the first single. I like the beginning and how soft it is. I also like how Nick gets so into it and his voice is so powerful. He has the most amazing vocals in the world. Period. I like how the lyrics are basically saying "Don't judge me" along with the video. Its a song with a powerful message and I like that. Although it's not my favourite song, its still an amazing song. Like all of them. I like how all my friends, who don't actually like the Jonas Brothers, have told me they like this song. Nick changes people.

Olive & An Arrow- This song is one of the most lyrically amazing. Nick's voice is so pure in this song. Its a soulful song which kinda tells a story of loving someone being amazing and then being a brat. Well, something like that. I love the whole presidency link to the name. Smart Nick. I love how Nick can get so high for a boy. Thats talent. I love the instrumental part in this song. Its something that makes me want to dance slowly to. Nick also does very good "Ooh ooh"'s in this song. After the instrumental, Nick gets into it and brings so much power to the song. I personally think its about Miley.

Conspiracy theory- One of my favourites!! Seriously. I love the whole way this song was set out. Nick screaming, Nick "Oohh"-ing, Nick getting all powerful. That just makes a song perfect. I also love the lyrics. Nick said this one was about aliens. Yeah, it does sound very Alien-y to me, to be honest. Well the lyrics do. This song actually seems quite short to me. Maybe I'm just picky but ya know. I also like how Nick just sings with a guitar strum at one point, thats cool. So yeah, one of the best songs on the album. Favourite part "Better that you didn't know, better that they didn't show." Oh and I love the part at the end where the guitar is on for like four seconds. Thats cool aswell.

In the end- Probably the best lyrically written song. Nick's voice is beautiful in this. Like always. But in this one it justs stands out. My favourite line "It all comes back to haunt you in the end. It hurts the most when you don't have a friend." That line just speaks to me so much. I love the instruments used in this song and the tune of it. Its really amazing. Not my favourite slow song but its still an amazing song! Nick is so whiney in this but thats good. Very good.

Last time around- Okay. This is another favourite of mine. I love how Nick shows off his flirty side in the first verse. Bahahahaa. I love flirty Nick. I also love the lyrics to this and the very good tempo. I personally think its about Selena but I dunno. I'm not sure on this one. To be honest, it could be about anyone but its still an amazing song. Its basically saying that you may find someone else to date but just don't forget me. Its a good break-up song where someone cheated on you. Or it could be a about an old relationship when you've seen your ex with another girl. Whatever it means to you, its still amazing.

Tonight- Ahhh well this has always been one of my favourite songs. I love the up-tempo version but I love this version even more! I can't really focus on the lyrics because they weren't writen for this album but they are amazing lyrics all the same. Nick goes so high in this song which makes it sound beautiful. I love how he made Pop into soul by slowing the tune down. I also love the backing vocals :) Oh and Garbo wrote parts in this song which makes it awesome. Because Garbo is awesome.

State of Emergency- Another great, great, great song. I was banging my head to this the first time I heard it. Its got a great tune and Nick sounds great in the vocals. The lyrics are are amazing. "She'll charge you by the hour to a straight trip down to hell." One of my favourite lines. I love the metaphorical reference to it. I love how Nick is powerful but then he goes high and I'm like "WOAH". I also love the title of this song. Its just a strong title. Its random how much I love it. But I do love it. So much.

Vesper's Goodbye- My favourite slow song. One of my favourite songs. Its just too beautiful. I cried when I first heard it. I love the piano work in it. All it is Nick singing and the piano and a bit of guitar in the first verse. "Lay me down to rest, its a lover's final breath." Thats my favourite line. Out of all the songs! The message in the song is wonderful and I am so glad Nick put this on the record. I don't know why but I am so thankful. I think I needed this song for whatever reason. I need to see Nick perform this live. I have never cried at 'A Little bit longer' but I would cry for this song.

Stronger (back on the ground) - I like the drumming in this song. I like how Nick is calm and cool in the first verse. The message is cute, wondering if someone will be there for you. I like cute messages. If your ever sending me a card, send me one with a cute message :) I like Nick's "Wooh Ooh"'s in this. "I wanna know I'm not the only one around, can you show me something deeper than I found?" This song is funk. Very funk. With some soul. I like the part when Nick repeats "Making me stronger" about three times. Thats cool. Then it speeds up and is more powerful. Theres also like some choir thing in the background which makes it sound special but not preachy which is good.

Overall, an amazing album. You may say its typical coming from a fan but this album isn't what you'd normally here from a Jonas Brother. I recommend everyone buy it. If you've bought it, have it on replay :)

Love
